MEIEA (Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association) is comprised of individuals and institutions involved in music and entertainment industry education and has two types of membership: Individual and Institutional. Though the majority of members are associated with higher education institutions,
anyone interested in the mission of MEIEA may join as an "Individual"
member.  Association membership includes professionals in entertainment
law, media development, radio, marketing, communications, music
production, publishing, and other related fields.
- Individual membership
is for educators, practitioners, and generally anyone interested in
music and/or entertainment industry education. Membership includes a
subscription to the MEIEA Journal, regular email updates of MEIEA activities, access to the MEIEA Summit
and discounts on services, conferences, products, and subscriptions
from MEIEA partners. MEIEA members are also eligible to receive MEIEA sponsored research grants and are invited to participate in the governance activities of the Association.  The individual membership cycle is annual.

- Institutional membership
is for accredited educational institutions that seek to support the
mission of MEIEA.  Institutional members will receive a listing with program
and degree offerings and internet links on the MEIEA Member Schools page, free faculty vacancy postings. Additionally, through the MEIEA Grants program,
up to $1000 per year is available to institutions that hold current
MEIEA Institutional membership.  The Institutional membership cycle is
the US academic year.  The institutional registration period is August and September.  Unless renewed, Institutional membership expires on October 1.
