Position Title: Music Industry/ Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (AA24043)

Department: Music & Entertainment Industries

Required Qualifications:

 Terminal degree – OR – Master’s degree from an accredited institution (conferred on an

official transcript by August 14, 2023), plus documented tested experience in the music

industry to meet criteria under Higher Learning Commission (HLC) faculty credentialing

requirements.

 Four (4) years of professional experience in music industry in commercial and

contemporary styles of music.

 Demonstrated ability to serve a diverse population and apply an equity lens to this

position including social justice and/or anti-racism.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

 Demonstrated effective written, oral communication and/or presentation skills.

 Documented successful college or professional teaching experience.

 Documented professional experience in business aspects of the music industry.

 Documented evidence of creative technology, film/game media, and/or audio production.

 Documented professional experience as an instrumental and/or vocal performer in

contemporary/commercial styles.
