The Electronic Media Division of the University of Cincinnati seeks a creative individual with a passion for teaching for a tenure-track appointment in the area of audio production beginning in the fall semester of 2013. The Electronic Media Division offers a wide range of digital video, web, and audio production classes, plus an array of writing, news production, media business and theory courses. The division enrolls 200 E-Media majors who graduate with a bachelor of fine arts degree. Electronic Media is one of eight divisions of CCM, a comprehensive College for the Performing Arts and Electronic Media.

Responsibilities: Emphasis will be upon teaching classes in digital audio production at basic and advanced levels. There may also be opportunities to teach in video and/or web production and to work on collaborative projects with faculty and students in CCM's performing arts programs and the Commercial Music Production program. The successful candidate will be expected to develop scholarly and/or creative contributions and serve the college and community and to advise and mentor students.  

Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.  

Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.   Master's degree, at least two years media experience and some teaching experience. Proficiency in Protools and Logic Pro. Experience in audio studio operations.

Ideal Qualifications: The minimum qualifications plus a terminal degree, university-level teaching experience and mastery of additional digital tools. A demonstrated commitment to the application of converged media production in the performing arts and/or electronic journalism.
