Albright College Assistant Professor of Music, Music Industry Studies The Department of Music at Albright College invites applications for a new tenure-track position with a focus on the study of Music Industry Studies to begin in the Fall of 2012. We seek a collaborative colleague who will contribute to the creative and intellectual development of our undergraduate students within a liberal arts setting. The position begins at the Assistant Professor level and carries a teaching load of six courses per year within our two semester academic structure. Albright offers a co-concentration in Music Industry Studies housed within the Department of Music with current offerings that include: Music Industry I and II, Music Law and Ethics, Music Marketing and Promotion, and Artist Management. Candidates must possess a terminal degree in Music (DMA or Ph.D) as well as a Masters in Music Industry Studies with 5 years professional experience in the field. The successful candidate will be encouraged to create additional courses that coincide with their professional music interests and abilities. Service on departmental and college committees, academic advising/mentoring of students, as well as an expectation of continued scholarship is required.
