Recording Industry-Commercial Songwriting
Full-Time Tenure Track position in the Department of Recording Industry, Commercial Songwriting concentration. Teach courses in commercial songwriting, publishing and related areas. It is also expected that the candidate will conduct research and/or creative activities in their area of specialization. Evidence in teaching, research/creative activity and service is expected for all positions. Graduate teaching is a possibility. MTSU seeks candidates committed to using integrative technologies in teaching. Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is expected by appointment date. Evidence of professional work as a songwriter, artist, or publisher. Ability to complete work independently with little oversight. Experience teaching college-level courses preferred.
Start date of position is August 1, 2012
