this is a full-time, (9) month position)

RESPONSIBILITIES:     Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teaching undergraduate courses in music industry studies; Working with the chair, program coordinator, and faculty in areas of admissions, orientation, advisement, collection and analysis of student performance data and curriculum development; Pursuing and producing high-quality scholarship; providing service to the university, local schools, and community constituents.

QUALIFICATIONS:     Master’s degree or terminal degree in music business, music, or a related field with professional experience in the area of recording and production, music technology, and music business.  Previous college teaching experience is preferred.  A Bachelor’s degree may be considered with documented professional experience.  The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching and student mentoring, as well as demonstrating a wide range of professional and technological skills, including a working knowledge of current software, recording formats, music business models, and best practices used within the music industry.  The candidate should also demonstrate interpersonal skills that promote collaboration and team building, an understanding of student admissions and advisement, a task-oriented philosophy, and an interest in curriculum design. 


 SALARY:    Commensurate with education and experience.
