POSITION: Music Technology (Tenure-track)
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree or commensurate
professional experience required, Doctorate degree preferred;
established national reputation in all aspects of music technology
including development, design, and implementation required; and
university teaching experience required.
DUTIES: Teach in all areas of music technology
including introduction to music technology, multi media production,
MIDI/loops, and other areas of expertise.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Assistant-Associate Professor
(Tenure-track). Date of initial appointment is August 18, 2008 - May
18, 2009

UNIVERSITY: Loyola University New Orleans is a
Jesuit University chartered by the Society of Jesus in 1912. Located in
uptown New Orleans, the University enrolls approximately 5000 students
and is composed of five colleges: Humanities and Natural Sciences,
Social Sciences, Business, Law, and Music and Fine Arts.
COLLEGE: The College of Music and Fine Arts includes
music and the departments of visual arts, and theatre arts and dance.
The music program, founded in 1932, is an accredited member of the
National Association of Schools of Music and enrolls 375 students. The
music faculty consists of 25 full-time and 40 part-time members. Music
degrees offered include the BM (performance, jazz studies, music
industry studies, and elective studies); BA (music); BME (instrumental
and vocal music education); BMT (music therapy); and BS (music industry
studies); MM (performance); and MMT (music therapy)
