Recording Industry - Music Business, Tenure-Track Faculty | Middle Tennessee State University

The Department of Recording Industry in the College of Media and Entertainment at Middle Tennessee State University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member (Position#145170) at the assistant/associate professor rank in the area of Music Business. The start date for this position is August 1, 2019.

Successful candidate will teach courses in music business, including: Digital Strategies, Branding, Survey of the Recording Industry, Artist Management, Concert Promotion & Touring, Record Label Operations, Marketing and/or Copyright Law.

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to accomplish group goals is a necessity. Documented excellence in teaching, research/creative activities and service is expected for all positions.

Educational Requirements: A terminal degree in Recording Industry or closely related field by appointment date.  NOTE: A master’s degree in Recording Industry or closely related field by appointment date with 5 years directly related industry experience may stand in lieu of the terminal degree.
