Murray State seeks a Lecturer in Music Business. Department of Music. Full-time, nine-month position to begin August 2008. Qualifications: Master's degree in Music or related area required. Must have a documented area of expertise, broad awareness of current issues in the music industry and knowledge of new media. The ability to teach in secondary area in music or business required. College teaching experience preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, foster and manage a vibrant internship program. Responsibilities: Coordinate the new program in Music Business. Teach survey and advanced music business courses. Develop both the curriculum and collaborative connections within the music world to foster a vibrant internship program. Recruit outstanding students. Teach in a secondary area(s) commensurate with departmental needs and candidate's qualifications to complete full load. Flexible schedule available. Application Deadline: March 3, 2008.
