Welcome to the 2nd issue of the MEIEA Ezine for the 2006-2007 school year!

You will find most of the "buzz" in this issue relates to our upcoming MEIEA 2007 conference in Los Angeles. I know I am excited to participate in this event that is less than two months away. In fact, I just took a break from writing this column to book my plane ticket and make my hotel reservations! As a former instructor at Cal Poly Pomona, I know Los Angeles is an amazing place to hold a conference that focuses on the music business and music business education. CPP has some great industry connections and I commend the students at CPP for their hard work, entreprenuerial spirit and attention to diversity in planning this event.

I would also like to mention that we are featuring MEIEA's first Ezine product reviews in this issue. MEIEA is a growing organization we have had several outside entities contact us this year about reviewing their products. You will still find book and DVD reviews in the MEIEA journal. We will attempt to include a few of these each Ezine as they come along. I also welcome outside product reviews from impartial MEIEA reviewers be submitted for Ezine consideration. Our main goal is to provide unbiased product reviews that will help MEIEA members purchase the right products for their personal needs and for their schools.

Thank you for all your contributions to MEIEA, I am looking forward to the summit! I welcome your comments, suggestions, and ideas!
