University's MEISA chapter received awards this year from the
University. On April 18, 2006 MEISA was awarded the Husky Award for
Organizational Excellence. This award honors a student organization
whose purpose or mission serves a specific membership or area of
interest and one who follows its mission by positively impacting its
members. On February 8, 2006, Ava Lawrence, Assistant Professor of
Music, was awarded the Vice-President's Award for Outstanding Advisor
Involvement.
