CONFERENCE LOGISTICS

MEIEA® (Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association) is a non-profit organization comprised of individuals, institutions, and businesses involved in music and entertainment industry education. Though the majority of members are associated with higher education institutions (college / university), anyone interested in the mission of MEIEA may join and support MEIEA.

On-line registration for the conference is closed.
On-site registration (via check, cash, or credit card) will be available before the conference

MEIEA Members $ 150.00 Current Educator, Practitioner, & Sponsor Members.	Non-Member / Renewing Member $ 210.00 Includes one-year Active membership to the Association.
Students
MEISA (Student) Members $ 125.00 Current Student Members and MEISA Alumni.	Student Non-Member / Renewing Member $ 143.00 Includes one-year MEISA membership.

What Does My Registration Include?

Conference registration includes an Active MEIEA Member welcome reception on Thursday evening, lunch and dinner on Friday, and lunch on Saturday.

Transportation

Kennedy (JFK) has the best mass transit, but people seem to prefer LaGuardia (LGA).

Islip-MacArthur (ISP) is small. Southwest flies there.

From Pennsylvania, you may want to consider Amtrak into Penn Station. The Long Island Railroad runs hourly from Penn to Farmingdale (more often during weekday afternoons and evenings).

Call for Papers

MEIEA invites you to submit papers for presentation at the 2008 International MEIEA Conference. We are seeking papers on all aspects of the music and entertainment industry including original research, historical perspectives, analysis of topical subjects, educational and curricular issues, etc.
